CHARMING AMPHIBIAN
in a quiet little pond,
with two big buggy eyes
watching flies fly about all day.
There’s a lazy frog,
on a bright green lily pad,
and he sticks out his big sticky tongue
catching flies all day.
In the quiet pond,
there’s a really noisy frog,
gives a loud ribbit cheer every time
a fly or bug or moth flies near.
CHORUS:
In some fairy tales, he’s a prince charming,
swooping down on the princess to carry her far away.
In reality, he’s an amphibian,
just a toad with lots of warts upon his skin.
RED CABOOSE
no sign of rain
let’s take a ride
aboard a train.
Ten shiny cars
one red caboose
that’s broken free
and on the loose.
CHORUS:
Please help us save the red caboose
it’s run away you see,
together we can overcome this grave emergency.
Now one and all,
let’s grab a rope,
it better hold,
we surely hope.
It’s looking good
yeah she’s OK!
It’s over now
we saved the day.
BLUE BALLOON
Blue Balloon, on a string
oh the smiles and the joy that you bring,
you’re just here for a while, now and then
blue balloon, when will I ever see you again?!
You just got here today, blue balloon,
welcome home,
come and play blue balloon,
I’ve got so much to say
be my friend, till the end,
days together we’ll spend,
blue balloon, blue balloon.
Great adventures await, blue balloon,
travel far,
It’s your fate, blue balloon
please don’t leave me so soon,
fly away, far away,
now I know you can’t stay,
see you soon, blue balloon.
LET'S DANCE
let’s dance on the sand,
listen to the band together,
here’s how it goes.
Come take my hand,
dancers in the land,
we’ll dance one by one,
together here’s how its done.
CHORUS:
Face to face we do the Cha Cha,
nose to nose for the Lambada,
tango for two, now Mizelou,
square dance for red, white and blue.
TOPSY TURVY
all of the stars were out,
people in their pajamas milled about.
Went with my Mom to buy some fruit but,
all of the stores were closed,
something was topsy turvy I supposed.
CHORUS:
Once in a while, you must agree,
the world seems upside down,
what you expect, just can’t be found,
a square shaped peg spinning round.
Got hungry for lunch, and ate a sandwich,
Dad made it inside out, drinking my juice was
tough without a spout.
Went to the zoo, just for a visit,
hoping to see a bear,
“gone for vacation” not a soul was there.
I supposed.
AT THE ZOO
bright and early in the morning,
put on my clothes I’m on my way,
come on now there’s no time to play.
It’s time for breakfast at the zoo,
I hear the animals they’re calling,
they’re hungry and they’re thirsty too,
just like me and you.
CHORUS:
We’ll feed the lions and the tigers and the chimps and the iguanas,
and the pandas and the cheetahs kangaroos come up and greet us,
feed the hippos and the bunnies and the menu’s really funny at the zoo.
We’ll feed them jello and spaghetti throw them rice just like confetti
extra saucy cheezy pizza and a sizzling fajita and a nice hot cup of coffee
and some ice cream flavored toffee at the zoo.

RIDING IN MY CAR
in my bright shiny automobile,
over and under bridges and tunnels,
riding in my car.
We’ll pack some food, some books and some crayons,
we’ll pack a camera video too,
we’ll see the world, its’ glory and wonder,
riding in my car.
CHORUS:
I’ll take the wheel, you take the gas,
signal when we pass.
now red means stop, and green means go,
yellow I don’t know.
MOTHERS' BLESSING
my sweet baby you grow so gracefully.
Though your feet may roam, oh so far from home,
I will always be with you in my heart.
CHORUS:
Now I bless you a life of special joy,
filled with sweetness and sunshine very bright,
feel my love for you each and every day,
warmth and laughter for you these things I pray.
COLORS
WHEN I FEEL SAD & BLUE, I SNUGGLE IN MY BED,
COME FROM BEHIND & SCARE ME, WATCH MY HAIR TURN WHITE,
IT’S SO TRUE, TRUE BLUE, I’LL PAINT THE WORLD FOR YOU.
WHEN I EAT TOO MUCH ICE CREAM, I TURN KIND OF GREEN,
LAUGH SO HARD I TURN ORANGE, LIKE A TANGERINE,
MY LIFE’S LIKE A RAINBOW, THAT’S JUST JUST HOW IT SEEMS,
IT’S SO TRUE, TRUE BLUE, I’LL PAINT THE WORLD FOR YOU.
CHORUS:
COLORS, THE WORLD IS COLORFUL,
COLORS, THEY ARE SO WONDERFUL,
COLORS, MY FEELINGS HAVE COLORS TOO.WHITE,
IT’S SO TRUE, TRUE BLUE, I’LL PAINT THE WORLD FOR YOU.
TANGO
Some say it comes from the Candombe-
the African slaves as they beat on their drums;
Others say it is the music of the pampas known as the Milonga.
Close your eyes, touch the rhythm; Hear the wail of the TANGO !!!!
Let’s tango, we move to the left,
Let’s tango, we move to the right,
over and under, is this right I wonder,
let’s all learn the tango tonight.
CHORUS:
To dance here with you,
is an unspoken dream now come true,
you’ll be my partner forever,
Tango together for two.
The tango, the duel dancers fight,
The tango, a lover’s delight,
over and under, a love torn asunder,
let’s all dance the tango tonight.
LIMBO
AND THE CHILDREN ALL WAIT THEIR TURN IN LINE,
SOME GO FRONTWARDS, SOME BACKWARDS, SOME SIDEWAYS,
WHAT’S IMPORTANT IS HOW YOU ARCH YOUR SPINE.
ONE BY ONE ALL THE PLAYERS WIGGLE UNDER,
WHILE THE CROWD OOHS & AAHS TO CHEER THEM ON,
AS THEY SLIP SLIDE AND FALL TO THE SIDELINES,
LEAVE THE CHAMPION TO SAY HOORAY! I WON!
CHORUS:
LIMBO, LIMBO,
IT’S THE GAME OF HOW LOW CAN YOU GO,
LIMBO, LIMBO,
THERE ARE LIMITS TO BENDING YOU KNOW!
IN THE PARK
can we stay ’till dark?
swings and see-saw, sandbox too,
balls in green and blue.
Jump and climb skip and run,
oh! I’m having fun,
blowing bubbles running free,
keep your eye on me.
Now it’s Spring the leaves are out,
birds fly all about,
sun is shining, there’s a breeze,
let’s stay longer please?!
CHORUS:
Songs and laughter, happy sounds,
lots of friends around,
share our toys, both yours and mine,
friends come rain or shine.
Songs and laughter, happy sounds,
lots of friends around,
share our toys, both yours and mine,
see you all next time.
RAINBOW
how’d you get to be so high?
colors you sure have a lot,
at one end a golden pot.
After rain you soon come out,
oh! what are you all about?
sometimes there and sometimes not,
when it’s cold and when it’s hot.
CHORUS:
Start to end you form an arch,
under you, we can march,
like a big bright jumping rope,
on your luck we hope.
